1. What is art?
Comparing my answer to this at the beginning of the semester and at the end of the semester was interesting to me. At the beginning of the year I said that art was one's own interpretation of the world and how they depict it through their work.I did not consider art to be a reinterpretation of other's work. However, At the end of the year I realized that art is your interpretation of your ideas and borrowed ideas and creating something of them. I said that art expresses what you think and feel. This also was something new I learned from the class.

2.Is copying always plagiarism or is there a gray area?
In the beginning of the semester I answered this question with confusion. I was not sure in my self if copying was always plagiarism. Replying with I believe the first time I answered it.Through doing the Artists steal project I learned and concreted the fact that copy is not always plagiarism. I learned that in some form all art is stealing someones ideas and putting their own perspective on it. I completed two projects with this theory that copying is okay if you put your own twist on it.

3. What is artistic style? List as many as you can.
When i first answered this question I just gave the definition of Artist style and did not give any examples. I said that artistic style is the particular way an artist makes their art. When I answered this question again I gave the more scientific definition of Artistic style. Saying that it was the style of a particular artist or school or movement. I then gave all the styles of art I had learned from the class: Mannerism, Borke, Impressionism, Surrealism, and cubism. With the added bonus style of Renoir. It was clear from the change of my answers that I had learned more on this subject from the class.

4.What is the point of this class? what do you think you'll get out of it? What did you think you got out of it?
When I answered this question I said the point was for me to grow as an artist. I also hoped that taking the class would give me new painting skills. When I answered the question again I had gotten many new techniques. The medium I really got a handle on was water color. I learned how to get all the values and shades and getting the brush stroke down to where I could really control it. I also said that I finally got to express my Ideas of what I wanted to do and not have to follow a strict theme or be criticized constantly. I was given helpful advice and encouragement when a project was not working out as well. This art class has been such a joy to be apart of and full of so many great memories.
